The Appalling Vista - the fight back against Operation Ore.

Cover picture shows David Stanley with the secured evidence in Fort Worth Texas.
The book about the UK’s first ever group or class action based on the false conviction of thousands of men and the ruin of their lives and families.
The story from the inside, written by experienced author and journalist, Brian Rothery, the group action's co-ordinator, from the notorious Landslide Fort Worth raid to the London High Court and the UN ten years later. Included is how the group went secretly to Texas to acquire the prosecution evidence that, although used to convict thousands, had been withheld from the defence. There is also an account of how individuals within the group suffered police intimidation and the lengths to which the British police, Crown Prosecution Service and judiciary appear prepared to go in resisting exposure of miscarriages of justice.
This story should, in fact, never have been written, so great were the forces lined up against the action team and the action itself. A group of severely damaged and bankrupted men with some support from their spouses and families, rallied and got together, raised £240,000 in cash and pro bono work, secured the evidence that had been withheld from them from under the noses of the FBI in America, withstood extreme British police harassment and finally got their case heard in the High Court where it was dismissed. They have now embarked upon a petition to the UN.
In the end, however, it is to you the reader that the evidence is now presented.
