Torture
See expanded drop down menu for this whole section on left
It is not the intention to rehash the subject of administration and police torture and brutality as it is well covered elsewhere. Here rather the place that torture plays in the continuing inquisition will be highlighted.
The Malleus Maleficarum, just discussed can be seen to be in continuing representation through the American Psychological Association (APA). Since the revelations of the practices at Abu Ghraib and Guantánamo Bay, it has also transpired that psychologists played a key part in the development and practice of the tortures with the full support of their professional organization, the APA. This is exactly what the so-called 'experts' including academics did in the former inquisitions. The Malleus Maleficarum, used in these latest outrages was the DSM IV, [Diagnostics Standards Manual 4] and its list of dysfunctional labels that give guidance for the latest interrogation techniques.
Other subjects that may be covered at a later stage are plea bargaining, shaming and shunning, and sex offender treatment courses, including the use of the penile plethysmograph.
