Meet an American teenage sex monster
Dear Editor
I wrote this letter to my local paper. Betty Price of SOSEN suggested I also send it to you.
The Douglas administration wants to list all Vermont SEX OFFENDERS on the internet. After all, we do need to protect this state against "dangerous predators". There is almost certainly one around every corner.
In fact, I myself know of one! Let me describe this loathsome, menacing monster to you. Let's see.... he's about five foot seven inches and weighs a terrifying 130 pounds. He has rosy cheeks, honest brown eyes, and a little peach fuzz on his chin, since this veritable monster hasn't matured enough yet to have to shave more than once a week. Those who think they know him well, but don't realize the label he wears, are foolish enough to call him a fine young man. He is deceptively polite, straight forward, clean cut and hardworking.
While still a teenager, he was convicted of having sex with his teenage girlfriend. Even though she initiated the contact; we all know that teenage girls today are innocent in these matters and are never manipulative. Those clothes they wear that reveal everything but their appendix are just because they are so innocent they don't realize that they may be considered a bit flirtatious by those who are not aware of their unquestionable purity of both mind and body.
Luckily, the state cracked down on him to protect this chaste maiden of unquestionable modesty and virtue. (Well, yes, it did come out in the police reports that it was his first experience and her sixth - oops - seventh, but accidents do happen to even the nicest girls). He was sentenced to 3-8 years on probation and put in a group with other sex offenders like him, you know, middle age men that molest 10 year old kids, child abductor's, rapists.
He served his time and our magnanimous society still offers him many undeserved opportunities.
A yearly field trip to the police station where he can get his picture taken is but one of the highlights of his new life. (The photographer taking this portrait is trying his best to capture his true evil on film, but this deceptive creature insists on looking like a
fresh faced boy!) Soon, (if our Governor is successful) he'll be able to punch his name in any computer and see his smiling face. His neighbors might even print it out and pass it around for him.
No matter that there are no job opportunities available to this clever young man. He knows there is money to be made in bottles and cans, plus strolling through ditches is a good form of exercise.
Admittedly, finding a landlord that will rent to him could be a challenge. But not for our young "SEX OFFENDER", who still remembers the skills he learned as a boy scout just a few short years ago. In fact, the tree house he built is still in his parent’s backyard.
You might think he'd get lonely, but that is not the case. Police officers will drop in on him from time to time for a friendly chat.
He will learn new skills. Agility and dexterity are useful when dodging vigilantes. He will develop a hard shell to withstand neighbors’ glares and insults. These new talents will be very useful to him. Although he can no longer join the military; chances are good he'll be able to find a use for these skills in prison one day.
